Do you want to give your letter heads a traditional look with grace? Raised ink letterheads are what you need. The raised ink technique, also known as thermography, adds a three-dimensional effect to your letterheads. The ink is applied in a way that creates a slightly raised texture on the paper, making your logo, text, and design elements visually appealing and tactile. Additionally, the thermographic process increases the durability of the ink, making it less prone to smudging or fading over time. This ensures that your letterhead maintains its professional appearance, even after multiple uses. At Ezeeprinting, we offer a comprehensive range of post-printing methods, including raised ink printing for letterheads and envelopes. Let us professionally design and print your letterheads, giving them a classic and refined look for all your formal communications. You have the freedom to choose from a variety of stocks for your custom letterheads. Imagine beautifully crafted layouts, precise color effects, and premium quality prints on thick, luxurious paper. What is raised ink printing or thermography?
Thermography is a unique post-print process that combines traditional printing methods with specialized thermography machines. These machines consist of three interconnected sections, all working seamlessly to create the raised ink effect.
The Application of Thermographic/Embossing Powder:
In the first section of the thermography process, a thermographic or embossing powder, typically made from plastic resins, is carefully applied to the printed paper or card. This powder is specifically formulated to react to heat and create a raised texture.
Printing with Special Slow-Drying Inks:
To achieve the desired raised effect, special slow-drying inks, devoid of dryers or hardeners, are used to print the text or design elements that need to be raised. These inks remain wet for a specific period, allowing them to bond with the thermographic powder in the subsequent stages.
Heat Exposure and Solidification:
The printed paper or card is then passed through a radiant oven in the third section of the process. Here, it is exposed to controlled heat, causing the thermographic powder to melt and the ink to solidify. As the product cools, the once-molten ink transforms into a beautifully raised texture, creating an exquisite tactile experience.
Applications of Raised Ink Printing:
Wedding Invitations: Raised ink printing adds a touch of luxury and elegance to wedding invitations. The raised text and intricate details create a visually stunning and tactile experience that sets the tone for a memorable event.
Business Cards: When it comes to networking and leaving a lasting impression, raised ink business cards can make a significant impact. The raised text and logo on a high-quality cardstock elevate the professionalism of your brand and make your business card stand out in a sea of competition.
Letterheads: A letterhead with raised ink exudes professionalism and attention to detail. Whether you're corresponding with clients, partners, or stakeholders, the raised texture adds a sense of distinction and importance to your brand's identity.
Greetings Cards: From holiday greetings to special occasions, raised ink printing brings a new level of sophistication to greetings cards. The three-dimensional effect enhances the visual appeal and creates a memorable experience for the recipient.
Packaging: Raised ink printing can elevate product packaging, adding a luxurious and premium touch. Whether it's for cosmetics, gourmet food items, or high-end products, the raised ink detailing creates a captivating and tactile unboxing experience.
Braille Text: Raised ink printing is also utilized to produce braille text, making printed materials accessible to individuals with visual impairments. The raised dots enable the visually impaired to read and comprehend information through touch, promoting inclusivity and equality.
